About Samuel Stuart Hollenshead

Samuel Stuart Hollenshead has worked for many of the country’s top colleges and universities including NYU, Columbia, Stanford, Yale, Brown, Harvard, Penn, Georgetown, Virginia and Michigan.  Some of his corporate clients include Blackstone, UBS, Bank of America and The Rockefeller Foundation.

Sam began his career as a photojournalist documenting workers at the World Trade Center after September 11, 2001.  After spending a year on this project, he moved to India where he photographed assignments for The New York Times, The Guardian and Time Magazine. In 2008, Sam began working for corporate, institutional, and non-profit clients. Whether taking a portrait of a CEO, or young entrepreneurs, Sam enjoys the social elements of the photographic processing and working with people.

When he’s not working on assignments, he likes to photograph plants using film cameras and 19th Century photographic processes. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, two sons and a chocolate lab.
